Multiple management plans are implemented as part of the preservation of Moroccan fishing resources policy and the guarantee of their sustainable exploitation. These management plans are based on biological, environmental, technical and socio-economical knowledge. The purposes of the implemented plans are the preservation of resources, the growth of benefit, the perpetuation of activity, the investments profitability, the social promotion and the adjustment of the fishing effort in comparison to the stock.
The management measures for development plans focus mainly on quotas, seasonal closures, management of fishing capacity, control and monitoring.
